| Transport
links are important - here we see a busy station at Ystrad Mynach, with
a Caerphilly, and Cardiff, bound train. In the
background you can see the goods only railway line to Nelson, and
Bedlinog. We think there is a case to look at for reopening this line to passengers. Studies are underway and there is a fair chance that this line will be reopened thanks to Labour Councils in Merthyr Tydfil and Caerphilly, and the support given by the Labour led Welsh National Assembly, and a Labour Government in London. |

What the Tories "forget", is that ordinary people need good and cheap public transport. Not everybody has a car, or can afford the parking costs at the major shopping centers. This is a view of the bus station at Bargoed, our photographer took this on a Saturday afternoon, it was the only time he could get a clear shot ! Many Senior Citizens can now afford to get out and travel - Thanks to Welsh Laour and the free Bus Pass for the over 60's |

| Its not just transport that we need to
develop in the Constituency - shopping and other amenities count as well
! This can range from traditional stores like these at Bargoed to the
Tesco superstore at Ystrad Mynach (right hand shot) |
